Air Bag (SRS) Sensor: Service and Repair

Fig. 22  Control Unit & Sensor Replacement.

    Disable airbag system, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ARMING & DISARMING.
    Refer to Fig. 22 for control unit and sensor replacement noting the following:

1.

Check all sensors for proper installation.

2.

Check all sensors to ensure they are free of deformities, dents, cracks or rust. If sensors show any visible signs of damage, replace them with new
components.

3.

Check sensor brackets to ensure they are free of deformities or rust.
