APPLIED VEHICLE:

INTRODUCTION
On some 1999 Nissan Quest vehicles, the easy entry and exit latch system on the second row right hand side captain's seat track may not have adequate
lubrication. This could cause the latch to deform and remain in the unlatched position. An unlatched seat track could result in an increased risk of injury
to an occupant in the event of a vehicle crash. In order to prevent this condition from occurring, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall
Campaign to replace the seat track on the second row right hand side captain's seat.
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
Nissan has assigned identification number B0063 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature
dealing with this campaign. The NHTSA recall identification is 99V-056.
NUMBER OF VEHICLES POTENTIALLY AFFECTED
The number of vehicles potentially affected is approximately 1,650.
DEALER RESPONSIBILITY
It is the dealer's responsibility to check each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary safety recall which for any reason enters the service
department by utilizing Service Comm to identify affected vehicles. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient
(tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer's inventory.
Federal law requires that new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can
result in civil penalties by the National Highway Safety Administration. While federal law applies only to new vehicles, Nissan strongly encourages
dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before they are retailed.
PARTS INFORMATION
NOTE:
Due to the limited number of vehicles involved, parts for this voluntary safety recall must be ordered through Nissan's Customer Care Parts Ordering
Program. The dealer ordering system has been modified to allow dealers to upgrade VOR orders to Customer Care status for this voluntary safety
recall.
