b. Apply a small amount of grease to the entire surface of the cable end ball.

Use only the grease included with the seal kit.

36. Reinstall the door lock assembly into the door in reverse order. Note the following during installation:

^ Make sure the cable for the outside door handle is looped as shown and secured in the clip.

^ Make sure the clip opening is facing towards the lock assembly.

^ Use 3 new bolts for the lock assembly (included with seal kit).

^ Torque for lock assembly bolts - 5.8 Nm (0.59 kg-m, 51 in-lb).
