Examples if INCORRECT (NG) Clamp Installation

IMPORTANT:

The clamp in Step 8 must be tightened and loosened 5 times as described in order to "form fit" the clamp and plate to the pinion housing. Failure to
perform Step 8 as described may result in the clamp losing tension.

8. Tighten the clamp as follows:

a. Tighten / torque the clamp to 3.5 Nm (0.35 Kg-m, 31 in lb)

b. Loosen the clamp 1/4 turn.

c. Repeat a and b 5 times.
