NOTE:

Reference Figures 2 and 3 above as needed during the repair procedure.

1. Turn steering wheel so the intermediate shaft lower joint is in the position shown in Figure 2 above.

2. Turn the ignition OFF and remove the Intelligent Key from the vehicle.

WARNING:

^ Leave the ignition OFF during the Service Procedure.

^ DO NOT hammer or impact the steering shaft in any way.

3. Remove the plastic U-shaped Upper cover (see Figure 3).
