^ The cam nut has an eccentric that when installed must push against the pinion shaft depression (Figure 8).

^ DO NOT REUSE THE CAM NUT AND BOLT, REPLACE THEM WITH THE KIT.

8. While holding the new cam nut in position by hand, tighten the new bolt to specified torque. Take care to hold cam nut in the correct axial position
during this process.

TORQUE: 37 Nm (3.8 kg-m, 27 ft-lb)

CAUTION:

When tightening mounting bolt, never hold cam nut with a tool.

NOTE:

The pressed cam nut holder removed in Step 4 does not need to be re-installed.

9. After intermediate shaft lower joint is fitted to the pinion shaft, make sure there is no gap (A) between:
