    Refer to Figs. 7 and 8 for replacement. When proceeding, note the following:

1.

Disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.

2.

Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge A/C system.

3.

Remove passenger side instrument lower cover and glove compartment.

4.

Disconnect wiring harness connectors to evaporator.

5.

Separate cooling unit case halves and remove evaporator.

6.

Reverse procedure to install, rearming airbag as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ARMING & DISARMING.
