Flex Plate: Testing and Inspection

RUNOUT

^ Check the drive plate for deformation or cracks.
^ Do not allow any magnetic materials to contact the ring gear teeth.
^ The runout (total indicator reading) is less than 0.2 mm (0.008 inch) as read from the crankshaft center.

CAUTION:  Be careful not to damage the ring gear teeth.
