2000-01 SENTRA POOR A/C PERFORMANCE

SERVICE INFORMATION
If the A/C system exhibits either of the following symptoms:

Increased discharge air temperature from the vents while driving
^
Decreased discharge air flow from the vents while driving
Use the Service Procedure listed to resolve the incident.
This bulletin applies if these symptoms occur after driving the vehicle for about one hour at highway speeds, especially with:
^
High ambient temperature/humidity conditions
^
Low fan speed
NOTE:
In diagnosing this incident, be aware that if this incident has occurred, but the A/C has been turned off for 30 minutes or more since occurring:
^
The A/C may appear to be operating normally when it is turned back on
^
However, the symptoms may return after driving for an hour or more at highway speeds. In that case, this bulletin should be used to resolve the
incident.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the A/C evaporator core. Refer to pages HA-73 and HA-74 of the 2000 Sentra Service Manual for the removal procedure.
