Shift Cable: Adjustments

1.

Place selector lever at Park.

2.

Connect control cable end to manual lever in transaxle unit, then tighten control cable attaching bolts.

3.

Move selector lever from Park to ``1,'' ensuring selector lever moves smoothly without any sliding noise.

4.

Shift selector lever to Park and ensure it locks in position.

Remove control cable adjusting nut A and loosen nut B, then connect control cable to trunnion, Fig. 1, and install and tighten nuts A and B.

6.

Shift selector lever from Park to 1, ensuring selector lever moves smoothly without any sliding noise.

7.

Apply suitable grease to spring washer.

Check spring pin for proper assembly, Fig. 2, adjusting as necessary.
