Seat Belt Warning Timer: Description and Operation
Models With Tachometer

The warning chime is controlled by the smart entrance control unit.
Power is supplied at all times:

-

 through 7.5 A fuse (No. 24, located in the fuse block [J/B])

-

 to warning chime terminal (3)

-

 to key switch terminal (1).

Power is supplied at all times:

-

 through 10 A fuse (No. 36, located in the fusible link and fuse box)

-

 to lighting switch terminal (11).

Power is supplied at all times:

-

 through 25 A fusible link (letter f, located in the fusible link and fuse box)

-

 to circuit breaker terminal (1)

-

 through circuit breaker terminal (2)

-

 to smart entrance control unit terminal (1).

With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied:

-

 through 7.5 A fuse (No. 7, located in the fuse block [J/B])

-

 to smart entrance control unit terminal (11).

Ground is supplied to smart entrance control unit terminal (10) through body grounds (M43), (M44) and (M60).
When a signal, or combination of signals, is received by the smart entrance control unit, ground is supplied:

-

 through smart entrance control unit terminal (23)

-

 to warning chime terminal (1).

With power and ground supplied, the warning chime will sound.
With ignition switch turned to ON or START and seat belt unfastened (seat belt switch ON), warning chime will sound for approximately 6 seconds.

Ground is supplied:

-

 to smart entrance control unit terminal (21)

-

 from seat belt switch terminal (1).

Seat belt switch terminal (2) is grounded through body grounds (B14) and (B17)
