Heater Hoses

HEATER HOSES AND PIPES

Check all heater hose routing for installation to avoid contact with any obstruction that could result in a damaged hose. Some hoses are equipped with
conduit in areas where rubbing may occur. Always reinstall conduit in the same location when replacing a hose.

Important
It is recommended that anytime a "spring" type clamp is removed or repositioned, the clamp be either replaced with a "screw" type clamp or replace
the section of hose being serviced. Failure to do so may result in a coolant leak due to lack of sealing.

Heater Inlet Hose

Remove or Disconnect
1.  Drain engine coolant.
2.  Top heater hose from thermostat housing.
3.  Raise vehicle. 
4.  Heater hoses from heater core.
5.  Heater hose from heater pipe.

Install or Connect
1.  Heater hose to heater pipe.
2.  Heater hoses to heater core.
3.  Lower vehicle.
4.  Top heater core hose to thermostat housing.
5.  Refill engine coolant.
