Troubleshooting Hints
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
WARNING: The SIR driver deployment loop (CKTs 347 and 348) passes through connector C200. You must take special precautions before
servicing connector C200. Disable the SIR system before you disconnect, probe, or service connector C200. Refer to "Disabling the SIR
System" In Air Bags and Seat Belts. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal Injury, or unnecessary
SIR system repairs.
NOTE: The Multi-Function Alarm Module will "go to sleep" 3 or 20 minutes after "key off," depending if the vehicle has travelled over 15 miles.
Until the Multi-Function Alarm Module "goes to sleep," it will draw
60-80ma. Once the Multi-Function Alarm Module "goes to sleep," the amperage
draw will drop to
3-15ma.
1. Check the ALARM, INT LPS, TURN, STOP/HAZ and TAIL LPS Fuses by visual inspection.
