Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
When replacing a production ECM with a service ECM, transfer the broadcast code and production number from the production unit to the service unit.
Also during replacement, the MEM-CAL/PROM must be removed from the ECM being replaced and transferred to the new unit. Refer to MEMCAL
for replacement procedures.
ECM And Sensor Ground Locations
NOTE: The ECM ground must be located on the transaxle to engine stud as shown in Figure. If the ECM ground was on the "battery" ground stud, a
high current ground could create transient sensor values to the ECM.
