Tighten the fasteners to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Connect the door handle rod (1) to the door latch.
1. Push the rod (1) upwards.
2. Insert the rod into the clip (2) on the door latch assembly.
3. Close the clip.
5. Install the inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (See: Rear Door Handle/Rear Door Interior Handle/Service
and Repair).
Important: Inspect for the proper operation of the door handles before installing the water deflector and the door trim panel.
6. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair).
7. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair
