Water Drains into Trunk when Rear Compartment Lid is Open
(Replace Both Strut Assemblies)

Condition
Some customers may comment that when the rear compartment lid is open, water will drain into the trunk from both the front and the rear of the lid.
Cause
The position of the rear compartment lid may be at too great an angle to allow the water to flow into the gutter.
Correction
Replace BOTH the rear compartment lid strut assemblies. Refer to the Body Rear End Section of the Service Manual for replacement procedures.
