This bulletin supersedes Dealer Technical Bulletin 89-T-38 which should be destroyed. An additional labor operation number has been added.
Some 1987-1989 Cutlass Calais coupe models may have a condition of vinyl bridging (blisters) on the armrest at the trim pad junction. This is due to
insufficient glue in this area.
Use the following procedure to repair the condition:
1.
Remove the trim pad assembly from the door.
2.
Loosen the upper insert cover of the trim pad by straightening the tabs and peeling the material loose at the rear of the door trim pad (the outside
layers only) Figure 1.
