Cutlass L4-138 2.3L VIN A FI HP (1990)
This bulletin supersedes Dealer Technical Bulletin 88-T-72. This bulletin has been revised to include 1989 and 1990 model years.
Seat back rattle or chucking may be repaired by installing two (2) wavy washers, P/N 17967750, and one flat washer, P/N 17967025 as described and
illustrated. This repair should be applied to both passenger and driver's seat.
Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
1.
Remove front seat back as described in Section 9 of the Body Service Manual.
2.
Install one flat and two wavy washers as illustrated over the spacer.
3.
Reinstall seat back and torque all bolts to specified values as called for in the service manual, Section 9.
