NOTE: Prior to installing timing chain housing, be sure the alignment dowel pins are in the cylinder lock and the timing chain housing. The dowel
pins ensure proper chain housing and front cover location for correct front oil seal-to-crankshaft alignment.
1. Timing chain housing and new gaskets (no sealer needed).
2. Chain housing to camshaft housing bolts hand tight.
3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Timing chain housing to block fasteners (48 and 49) hand tight.
5. Oil pan to timing chain housing bolts (36) hand tight.
