6. Remove the fluid level switch (1).
7. Remove the piston snap ring (4) while depressing the primary piston (5).
Take care not to damage the primary piston, master cylinder bore, or the piston retainer groove.
8. Remove the primary piston and the primary piston spring.
To remove parts, apply low-pressure non-lubricated compressed air into the upper outlet port at the blind end of the bore with all the other outlet
ports plugged.
9. Remove the secondary seal (8), primary seal (6) and the spring retainer (9) from the secondary piston (7).
10. Clean all parts in clean, denatured alcohol.
11. Dry the parts using non-lubricated compressed air.
12. No abrasive should be used in bore.
13. Inspect the master cylinder bore for scoring or corrosion. If noted, replace the master cylinder.
ASSEMBLE PROCEDURE
1. Lubricate the rubber parts with clean brake fluid in order to ease assembly.
