Engine Torque Strut: Service and Repair
Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Wheel Removal in Tires and Wheels.
4. Remove the right splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement in Bumpers.
5. Remove the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement.
6. Remove the engine mount strut bracket bolts.
7. Remove the engine mount strut bracket.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Tools Required

J 36660 Torque Angle Meter
1. Install the engine mount strut bracket.
2. Install the strut bracket to the front cover bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.). Use the J 36660 in order to tighten the bolts an additional 90°.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the oil pan bolt to the strut bracket.

Tighten the bolt to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement.
5. Install the right splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement in Bumpers.
