Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation (Passenger)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the passenger side sound insulator.
2. Remove the electrical connection (2) from the brake switch (3).
3. Remove the brake switch (3) from the retainer by turning it counter clockwise 45°, then pulling toward the rear of the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Insert the stop indicator switch (3) into the retainer until the switch bottoms out against the brake pedal and the switch actuator is fully depressed.
2. Snap the brake switch (3) into the retainer by turning it clockwise 45° until a click is heard.
3. Install the electrical connection (2) to the brake switch.
4. Install the passenger side sound insulator.
