Drive Belt: Description and Operation
A single (serpentine) wide belt is used to drive all engine accessories formerly driven by multiple drive belts. All belt driven accessories are rigidly
mounted with belt tension maintained by a spring loaded tensioner. To remove and install the belt, lift (rotate) the tensioner idler pulley. To check the
tensioner, use belt tension gage BT-7825 or J-23600. Belt tension should be 360-540 N (80-120 lbs.)
