SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Open and support hood.

2.

Identify fuel feed hose (Figure 1) and carefully slip protective convoluted sleeve partially off hose assembly exposing identification codes (Figure
2). It is recommended that sleeve removal be initiated at the end of the hose opposite the sleeve retaining clip.

3.

By inspecting hose date code (Figure 2) determine if hose was produced on suspect date (04 28 87).

NOTICE:

To aid in hose date code identification, use of a mirror may be required. DO NOT TWIST HOSE TO INSPECT DATE CODE.

If date code is 04/28/87, replace hose assembly according to Hose Replacement instructions below.
