Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Throttle Position Sensor
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT:
1.
Intercooler to intake manifold duct.
2.
Throttle cables.
3.
Throttle body vacuum line connector.
4.
Throttle body bolts.
5.
Lift throttle body until TPS clears fuel line.
6.
TPS electrical connector.
7.
Remove TPS attaching screws and retainers.
8.
Sensor.
INSTALL OR CONNECT:
1.
With throttle valve in the normal closed idle position, install throttle position sensor on throttle body assembly.
2.
Two TPS screws. Tighten screws to 2.0 N-m (18 lb. in.).
3.
TPS electrical connector.
4.
Throttle body bolts.
5.
Throttle body vacuum line connector.
6.
Throttle cables.
7.
Intercooler to intake manifold duct.
