Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair

Headlamp (Oldsmobile Coupe)

Remove or Disconnect

1. Open hood.
2. Screws from headlamp bezel.
3. Spring from bottom edge of headlamp to headlamp carrier.
4. Headlamp from headlamp carrier.

Important
^

Do not apply pressure to plastic bubble of vertical aim indicator.

5. Electrical connector from headlamp.
6. Screws from headlamp retaining ring.
7. Rotate headlamp retaining ring away from headlamp.
8. Headlamp from headlamp retaining ring.

Install or Connect

NOTICE: Refer to Service Precautions.

1. Headlamp to headlamp retaining ring.
2. Screws to headlamp retaining ring.

Tighten
^

Screws to 2 N.m (18 lb. in.). 

3. Electrical connector to headlamp. 
4. Headlamp to headlamp carrier.
5. Spring from bottom edge of headlamp to headlamp carrier.
6. Screws to headlamp bezel.

Tighten
^

Screws to 2 N.m (18 lb. in.).

7. Close hood.

Inspect
^

Vertical aim indicator bubble for correct headlamp aim.
