Cutlass Supreme V6-3100 3.1L MFI VIN M (1994)
Dual Exhaust System
REMOVAL:
1.
Raise vehicle.
2.
Support converter.
NOTE: Cuts must be made as close to weld as possible to ensure adequate overlap for clamping.
3.
Cut front exhaust pipe at converter.
4.
Remove bolts intermediate exhaust pipe at converter.
5.
Remove converter.
INSTALLATION:
1.
Install clamps to replacement converter. (DO NOT tighten clamp nuts yet.)
2.
Install converter.
3.
Tighten clamp nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft lb).
4.
Install bolts intermediate exhaust pipe to converter.
5.
Tighten converter bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft lb).
6.
Lower vehicle.
