Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Negative battery cable.
2. A/C compressor splash shield.
3. Drain cooling system.
4. Supercharger drive belt.
5. Drive belt.
6. Position coil pack out of the way.
7. Supercharger belt tensioner.
8. Engine support fixture.
9. Engine mount.

10. Power steering pump.
11. Engine mount bracket.
12. Idler pulley.
13. Water pump pulley.
14. Water pump. Clean all gasket mating surfaces.

INSTALLATION 

1. Using a new gasket, install the water pump on the engine.

Bolts to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).

Bolts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).

2. Water pump pulley.
3. Idler pulley.
4. Engine mount bracket.
5. Power steering pump. 
6. Engine mount. 
7. Engine support fixture. 
8. Supercharger belt tensioner. 
9. Coil pack position out of the way.

10. Accessory drive belt.
11. Supercharger drive belt.
12. Fill cooling system.
13. A/C compressor splash shield.
14. Negative battery cable.
15. Check for coolant leaks.
