CONDITION:
Owners of 1985 through 1987 Firenza models equipped with 2.8L engines with automatic transmission may notice a rattling or clicking noise coming
from the engine compartment. This noise is more apparent when the engine is cold and usually goes away as the engine warms up.
CAUSE:
The above noise may be due to a warped torque converter shield. This warped shield may interfere with the flywheel.
