Condition
Some customers may comment that the instrument panel (I/P) rattles on the passenger side and/or the fuse block is loose in the opening. Technicians may
also experience difficult reinstallation of the fuse block.
Cause
The I/P fuse block opening may be cracked at the forward corner.
Correction
Install I/P reinforcement bracket (P/N 10412722), using the service procedure.
Procedure
1.
Remove I/P fuse block cover.
2.
Release fuse block retaining tabs and allow fuse block to lean back into I/P.
3.
Install fuse block reinforcement bracket by inserting bracket through upper access hole in I/P and route between fuse block and I/P structure (see
Figure 1).
