REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead.

Remove the key from the ignition switch.
1. AIR BAG #1C Fuse from the UP fuse block.
2. The sound insulator - LH.
3. The Connector Position Assurance (CPA) and the yellow 2-way connector located near the base of the steering column.
4. The sound insulator - RH.
5. The CPA and the yellow 2-way connector from the inflatable restraint I/P module pigtail.
IMPORTANT

With the AIR BAG #1C Fuse removed and the Ignition switch in the RUN position, the AIR BAG warning lamp Illuminates. This is normal
operation and does not indicate a SIR system malfunction.
