Disable Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system, Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts / Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems). See:
Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems
1. Instrument Panel (I/P) compartment insert by pulling rearward and disengaging stops.
2. Temperature valve link rod from plastic retainer on temperature valve.
3. Electrical connector.
4. Passenger air mix valve actuator screws and actuator.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Screws after positioning passenger air mix valve actuator.

Tighten screws to 1.4 Nm (12 lb. in.).
2. Electrical connector.
3. Temperature valve link rod.

Adjust Passenger temperature valve link rod after installation, Refer to Programmer / Adjustments / Temperature Valve Link Adjustment / RPO
(CJ2). See: Control Module HVAC/Adjustments
4. I/P compartment by pushing forward.

Enable SIR system, Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts / Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems). See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems
Actuator (Heater A/C BI-Level Valve)
WARNING: The following procedures must be followed In the order listed to temporarily disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint
(SIR) system and prevent false diagnostic trouble codes from setting. Failure to follow this procedure could result In possible air bag
deployment, personal Injury, or otherwise unneeded SIR system repairs.
