ABS Light: Description and Operation
ABS Warning Lamp
The EBCM monitors itself and other ABS components continuously. If the EBCM detects a malfunction within the system, the ABS warning light
will either flash or light continuously. The light will flash if the problem does not immediately affect ABS operation. However, a flashing light
does indicate that repairs must be made as soon as possible. A solid warning light indicates that the malfunction in the system will affect ABS
operation and that anti-lock braking will not be available until the problem is corrected. However, during this time normal brake operation will not
be affected.
