Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

For proper routing and replacement of canister hoses, refer to Emission Hose Routing Diagram. When replacing hoses, use 6148M or equivalent.
1. Remove the bolt that holds the electrical connector on the RH side of the inner fender. Move to one side.
2. Remove the bolt that holds the 20 amp fuse holder.
3. Remove the lines that are on EVAP canister.
4. Remove the 2 bolts that holds down the EVAP canister.
5. Remove canister.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the EVAP Canister.
2. Install the 2 bolts that holds down EVAP canister.
3. Install the lines that are on the EVAP canister.
4. Install the bolt that holds 20 amp fuse holder.
5. Install the bolt that holds the electrical connector on the RH side of the inner fender.
6. Move to one side.
