Campaign Identification Label
Each vehicle modified in accordance with the instructions outlined in this procedure will require a Campaign Identification label. Each label
provides a space to include the campaign number, the five (5) digit dealer code of the dealer performing the campaign service, and the date vehicle
was campaigned. This information may be inserted with a typewriter or ballpoint pen. When installing label, clean the surface of the radiator upper
mounting support and apply the campaign label where it is readily visible.
PARTS INFORMATION
THE OWNER NOTIFICATION LETTER ASKS THE OWNER TO CONTACT HIS OLDSMOBILE DEALER AND ARRANGE A SERVICE DATE
TO ENSURE THAT A REPLACEMENT RADIO, AND IF EQUIPPED, A CONSOLE MOUNTED CASSETTE TAPE PLAYER WILL BE
AVAILABLE FOR INSTALLATION AT THE TIME THE VEHICLE IS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR CORRECTION.
Replacement Radio, Cassette Tape Player Procurement
1.
Determine the type of radio system the vehicle is equipped with. Refer to Radio Identification Procedure in this bulletin.
2.
Contact the local AC-Delco Service Center identified by an "EX" in the SD-2 directory. (Refer to Dealer Management Bulletin 86-1-16, dated
September 19, 1985, entitied AC-Delco Radio Repair Information.)
3.
Advise the AC-Delco Service Center that you are contacting them regarding Oldsmobile campaign 86-C-04, and provide them with the following
information:
A.
Dealer's firm name and address
B.
Type of radio system vehicle is equipped with: UM7, UM6, UX1 or UU8 and whether or not the vehicle is equipped with a console (option
D55)
C.
The name of the campaigned vehicle owner
The AC-Delco Service Center will supply the required radio system component(s) at no charge, along with instructions for returning the removed
unit(s).
NOTE:
Graphic equalizer does not require replacement.
If there is a problem obtaining replacement units from the AC-Delco Service Center, contact Dial Delco at 1-800-428-0501 (or in Indiana,
1-800-382-0531) for assistance.
4.
WHEN THE RADIO SYSTEM COMPONENTS ARE RECEIVED, THE OWNER SHOULD BE CONTACTED AND A MUTUALLY
SATISFACTORY SERVICE DATE ESTABLISHED.
