HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT ON 405 MODELS
INFORMATION:

The headlamp height adjuster on the 405 has a flexible extension ending in a knurled nut, with a flat screwdriver slot plus a 8 mm hex hole for an
Allen wrench.

When not used, the extension handle is lodged in a resting position between two (2) finger hooks, as shown in the drawing below:
IMPORTANT:
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU TRY TO ADJUST THE HEADLAMP HEIGHT WITH THE EXTENSION
HANDLE IN THE REST POSITION (USING HAND, SCREWDRIVER OR ALLEN WRENCH), AS THIS WILL CAUSE THE
ADJUSTMENT SCREW BRACKET TO BREAK.

Instead, dislodge the extension handle from the two finger hooks, and make the extension straight with the adjustment screw, as shown in the
drawing below:

In this position, using a few drops of oil, or WD40 spray or similar lubricant, in the area where the adjustment screw goes through its bracket, and
where the head of the screw contacts the reflector housing, the headlamp height can be easily adjusted without the use of tools.
