Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

Removal

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Disconnect electrical connector from switch, then pull switch to remove.

Installation

1.

Depress brake pedal and insert new switch fully in its support.

2.

Release brake pedal. When pedal reaches top, it will normally move and find its proper setting.

3.

Connect electrical plug, then turn ignition switch on and check stop light operation.
