Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

Removal

1.

Loosen the hose clamps and remove the vapor hoses from the charcoal canister.

2.

Loosen the charcoal canister retaining bolts and remove the canister.

Installation

1.

Inspect the fuel vapor hoses for leaks or cracking and replace as necessary.

2.

Install the charcoal canister and tighten the retaining bolts.

3.

Connect the fuel vapor hoses and tighten the clamps.

4.

Verify the correct hose routing using the appropriate diagrams. Refer to "Vacuum and Vapor Hose Diagrams".
