Fig. 4  Hub Bearing Installation

1.

Remove steering knuckle and bearing retainer ring.

2.

Remove bearing retaining ring with a screw driver.

3.

Using universal extractor tool No. J22912 or equivalent, and two bolts, remove bearing inner race.

4.

Remove bearing out of hub, using the bearing race removed above to drive it out.

5.

Install new bearing. Lubricate the housing before installation, then press bearing in, using thrust plate Fig. 4.

6.

Install the bearing retainer ring, then install hub. Tighten bolt until hub is seated.
