PARTS DEPARTMENT SUPERCESSION OF GLOVE BOX STRIKER, FRAME AND LATCH

MODELS:

1986 AND 1987 MODEL YEAR 505 VEHICLES

The National Parts Department no longer supplies P/N 8214.60 Glove Box Striker Frame for 1986 and 1987 505 vehicles. It is necessary to order the
following parts for vehicles requiring this repair:

8214.L5

Striker Frame

8214.L7

Glove Box Latch

8221.37

Striker

INSTALLATION:

-

The glove box striker frame and striker are a straightforward replacement. See Service Bulletin No. 174, Class 13, dated March, 1986, for
step-by-step instructions.

The latch requires a slight modification by trimming the slide area of the latch as shown in image.

Install the latch. Open and close the glove box several times to check engagement. If necessary, adjust striker.
