SUBJECT:
46 TO 51 MPH VIBRATION ON 1986 TURBO STATION WAGON EQUIPPED WITH ZF4HP22 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
COMPLAINT:
A slight vibration may occur after torque converter lock-up at 46-47 m.p.h. and 2000 rpm under light to medium load to conditions only. This vibration
may continue to 50-51 mph and 2200-2300 rpm and is similar to the noise and vibration experienced while driving over a steel grate such as encountered
on drawbridges.

SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED:
Valve Body Adjustment Tool P.N. 0091.55 "Torx" 27 MM Socket or Equivalent -- Supplied Locally
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Before starting this repair insure the following:

The transmission is sufficently cooled down
-
The selector is in "N"
1.
Drain oil from transmission and remove oil pan
2.
Remove oil filter from valve body (3 bolts)
CAUTION: SAVE AND REUSE O-RING
3.
Remove valve body (13 bolts - 12 mm dia.)
4.
Place valve body (transmission side down) on IMMACULATELY CLEAN SURFACE
