Timing Belt: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
-
Drain the cooling system.
-
Remove the radiator shroud.
-
Remove the radiator
-
Remove the thermostat housing and auxiliary air device
-
Remove the alternator.

Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt.

Engage fifth gear and apply hand brake
^
Remove the bellhousing inspection plate with the TDC sensor. (Do not alter its setting)

Lock the ring gear using clamp (-).0144B

Remove the pulley and the cover.

Remove clamp (-).0144B
-
Reinstall the pulley bolt and rotate the crankshaft in order to position the camshaft sprocket reference (A) approximately as shown opposite.
