1982 505 TURBODIESEL (XD2S) AND DIESEL (XD2C) HIGH PRESSURE HOSE AND SUPPORT CLAMP

Whenever a 1982 505 and early 1983 production Turbodiesel (XD2S) or Diesel (XD2C) starting with V.I.N. 0316001 and ending at 0330582 is in for
service, examine to see if the high pressure hose and support clamp have been installed as outlined in Service Bulletin No. 117, Class 13, to prevent
failure of the air conditioner condenser. If the vehicle does not have this hose, P.N. 6453.57, and clamp, P.N. 6453.58, proceed as follows:

2 lbs. freon (R12)

Install a new high pressure hose P.N. 6453.57. The shape of the rigid section on the hose has been modified to enable it to be secured to the front
frame.

Install caged nut P.N. 6941.32 on the front frame as shown, and secure the hose to the frame using bolt P.N. 6902.35 and clamp P.N. 6453.58.

Make up any compressor lubricant loss as necessary.

-

Evacuate and recharge the A/C system.

Note:

Each dealer order will be limited to 10 sets of hoses and clamps.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

An RFA for vehicles within the aforementioned VIN range, which have not had the modified upper high pressure hose and support clamp fitted, IS NOT
REQUIRED.

For Warranty Claim preparation and submission, the following Damage Code and Labor Operation is to be used.
