1987 MODEL ANTI-THEFT RADIO PROGRAM

The elements of the PEUGEOT ANTI-THEFT RADIO PROGRAM have been designed in cooperation with law enforcement authorities to not only
help thwart the criminal during each step of the crime, but also to reduce the market for stolen radios. It is the most comprehensive in the industry. As
such, it requires that both your service and sales personnel be familiar with the system, which consists of the following elements packed with the
anti-theft radio:

1.

Hang Tag - the customer should place the hang tag over the inside rearview mirror to warn thieves and to help avoid vehicle break-in when the
vehicle is unattended. It is reflective to maximize its visibility.

2.

Warning Decals - the customer should remove the 2 "warning decals" from the back cover of the anti-theft radio owner's manual and place them
on the side windows near the door locks in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

3.

Anti-Theft Radio - the words "anti-theft" are shown in white letters 1/8" high to act as a deterrent.

4.

Flashing LED - when the ignition key is removed, a red LED will flash continuously to serve as a warning to thieves.

5.

Anti-Removal Feature - if any radio pushbutton is touched with the ignition key removed, the radio will "beep" for 5 minutes. Should this feature
be activated accidentally, simply advise the customer to turn the ignition "on" momentarily and the beeping will stop.

6.

Radio Non-Salability Warning Decal - should a thief remove the radio despite all of the warnings, a decal located on top of the radio chassis will
warn him that the radio is an "anti-theft" unit and therefore not readily salable.

7.

Anti-Damage Design - should a thief try to remove the radio despite all of the warnings, its mounting is designed to minimize the potential for
dashboard damage, therefore reducing the average insurance claim value.

8.

Anti-Theft Radio Computerized Protection - the microprocessor controlling the radio is assigned a 5-digit "anti-theft code" as printed on the
identification cards on the last page of the owner's manual. If the radio is stolen, it must obviously be electrically disconnected. Once disconnected,
the radio and cassette will not operate when voltage is later restored. The display will show the word "code." Unless a 5-digit "anti-theft code"
assigned to that particular radio is entered using the pre-set station buttons, the radio will not operate, thereby reducing the market potential for
stolen radios. It is extremely unlikely that the correct 5-digit code can be guessed.

APPLICATION

1.

This radio is standard on all 1987 STI, STX, and Turbo S models

2.

This radio may also be installed in 1986 vehicles - order wiring adapter PIN 35.67.

PDS

To maximize security of the anti-theft codes, the code card and owners manual are in a sealed "Anti-Theft Radio Program" envelope placed in the glove
box.

"Code" will appear in the display when the radio is turned on. The technician that performs the PDS should enter the 5-digit code number and then
functionally test the radio and speakers.
