SYMPTOM/CONDITION

A warm engine may exhibit a sag (lack of power) when attempting to accelerate from rest and/or surge during acceleration.

DIAGNOSIS

Road test vehicle, If warm sag and/or acceleration surge is noted, disconnect EGR valve and road test vehicle again. If condition is improved, proceed to
repair procedure.

Installation

1.

Remove distributor cap and lay aside.

2.

Remove two rotor screws and remove rotor.
