Verify that wiring ground connections for intermittent wipe control unit and wiper switch are tight.

If condition persists, replace control unit.
Wipers Won't Run With Switch In Delay Position
Intermittent wipe and standard two-speed motors are identical. Refer to TWO SPEED WIPER SYSTEM in this section for diagnosis of system
problems not involving the delay function.
Voltmeter Between Cavities 4 And 6
1.
Unplug connector from intermittent wipe control unit.
2.
Place switch in maximum delay (dwell) position.
3.
Connect voltmeter between cavity "4" and "6."
4.
If meter reads 0V, check switch and wiring.
Voltmeter Between Cavities 3 And 4
5.
If meter reads 10 - 15V, place switch in "Low" position and connect voltmeter between cavities "3" (positive) and "4" (negative).
6.
If meter reads 10 - 15V, replace control unit. If meter reads 0V, check wiring and repair as needed.
