Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair
PREREMOVAL OPERATIONS
Remove the under cover
POST-INSTALLATION OPERATIONS
Install the under cover
REMOVAL
1.Remove drive belt (Air conditioner)
2.Remove drive belt (Power steering)
3.Remove drive belt (Alternator)
4.Remove crankshaft compressor pulley
5.Remove crankshaft pulley
Note:
Service points of removal.
a. Remove crankshaft compressor pulley
b. Remove crankshaft pulley
(1) Using the special tool and a disused drive belt, stop the rotation of the crankshaft pulley.
Caution:
This drive belt will be damaged. Do not use the engine's drive belt. Never use a damaged drive belt.
(2) Remove the crankshaft sprocket bolts.
(3) Remove the crankshaft pulley bolts, and remove the crankshaft pulley and crankshaft compressor pulley.
INSTALLATION
1. Reverse the removal procedures to reinstall.
2. Service points of installation.
a. Installation of crankshaft pulley/crankshaft compressor pulley
(1) Using the special tool and a discarded drive belt, stop the rotation of the crankshaft pulley.
(2) Tighten the crankshaft sprocket bolt to the specified torque.
