Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle, remove stabilizer bar, support lower arm with suitable jack, remove lower shock mounting bolt, then shock from lower

arm.

2. On models with AWD, remove bolt attaching driveshaft to rear carrier, then hang shaft from vehicle with wire.
3. On models with ABS, remove speed sensor clamp bolt.
4. On all models, make mating marks on lower arm shaft assembly and crossmember, then loosen shaft assembly nut.
5. Lower rear end of lower arm, then remove coil spring.
6. Reverse procedure to install, ensuring that both ends of coil spring are aligned with spring groove.
