FIGURE 1 - Brake Pad Replacement Procedure
NOTE:
BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW BRAKE PADS, NEW SHIMS COATED WITH GREASE FROM FRONT PAD KIT, PN
MB500465, MUST ALSO BE INSTALLED AS OUTLINED IN STEPS 3 THROUGH 6. FIGURE 1 PROVIDES A REFERENCE AS
TO SHIM AND PAD POSITIONING.

Prepare the shims for assembly by taking the three shims from the pad kit and appling a thin coating of the special grease contained in the kit to
one side of each shim.
4.
Assemble an outer pad and shim "sandwich" by stacking the outer pad, with its friction material face up, on top of one of the rubber coated shims,
with its greased side also facing up.
NOTE:
WIPE AWAY ANY EXCESS GREASE WHICH OOZES FROM BETWEEN THE SHIM AND PAD.
