Door Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Description and Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATION
The VTA system uses the door ajar switches to provide an input to the Body Control Module (BCM). These switches are normally OPEN with the
doors closed. When a door is opened the switch CLOSES completing a path to ground. Circuit G74 is used to monitor the right front door, the
G75 circuit is used for the left front door. These switches are case grounded.
Circuit G76 is used for the right sliding door switch. and circuit G77 is used for the left sliding door switch. Ground for these switches is provided
on circuit Z1 and terminates at the rear body ground in the left quarter panel.
